Koi Pond ("we", "us") is an AI speaking-practice service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what's needed to run your practice sessions and improve your plan — and nothing is sold to anyone.
What we collect
- Account data — name, email, and password (stored by our authentication provider, Supabase). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Quiz answers — your speaking goals, blockers, and practice preferences, used to personalize your plan.
- Practice sessions — transcripts of what you and the AI audience said, your delivery scores, and session metadata (duration, scenario). If you enable your camera, sampled frames are analyzed for a body-language read and are not stored after scoring.
- Usage data — pages visited and product events (e.g. session completed), including via Meta Pixel for advertising measurement where applicable.
How we use it
- To run live practice rooms and generate your post-session reports (audio and transcripts are processed by our AI providers — Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude — under their data-processing terms).
- To personalize your practice plan and track your progress over time.
- To operate optional features you opt into, such as the public leaderboard (off by default).
- To measure and improve our marketing (aggregated, via Meta Pixel).
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use your practice recordings to train AI models.
- We do not show your scores or sessions to anyone else unless you explicitly opt into the leaderboard.
Storage & security
Your data is stored with Supabase (EU region) behind row-level security — your sessions are readable only by your account. Transport is encrypted (HTTPS/WSS).
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time: profile details from the Account page, or full account deletion by contacting us. EU/EEA users have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and portability.
